Information We Collect
ConvertX collects minimal data necessary to provide its services:
- Files you convert: Files are temporarily uploaded to CloudConvert servers for processing and are automatically deleted after conversion. We do not store your files.
- Conversion history: A local log of your conversions (file names, formats, dates) is stored only on your device. This data never leaves your device.
- Advertising data: Google AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to display personalized ads. See AdMob's privacy policy for details.
Third-Party Services
ConvertX uses the following third-party services:
Data Storage
- Converted files are saved to the Downloads/ConvertX/ folder on your device.
- Conversion history is stored locally on your device using Android's SharedPreferences.
- No personal data is transmitted to our servers.
- You can clear your conversion history at any time from within the app.
Permissions
ConvertX requests the following permissions:
- Storage / Media access — To read files you want to convert and save converted files to your device.
- Internet — To upload files to CloudConvert for conversion and to load advertisements.
- Notifications — Not used by this app.
Children's Privacy
ConvertX is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
